12 ^th International Workshop on Hot Topics in Pervasive Mobile and Online Social Networking(HotPOST 2020)

Call for Papers

Mobile social networking services and applications have become unprecedentedly pervasive, covering messaging, gaming, advertising, recommending, commercing, and content sharing. Recent technology advances such as edge computing, Internet of Things (IoT), augmented/virtual reality (AR/VR), and wearables are bringing new challenges and opportunities for mobile computing/communication, and also for provisioning online social networks and related services on mobile devices.

The goal of the Hot Topics in Pervasive mObile Social neTworking (HotPOST) workshop is to bring together researchers, engineers, and practitioners who work on mobile computing, online social networks, and the intersection of both, to identify new problems and discuss latest research ideas and results, especially those related to novel and emerging technologies. HotPOST focuses on all aspects about mobile and online social networking, including architecture, service, design, implementation, measurement, modeling, algorithm, and analysis. The topics of HotPOST 2020 will include but are not be limited to the following:

Topics of Interest :

• Mobile-centric and/or location-based social network services
• Reputation, incentives, economics, and user behavior in mobile systems
• IoT, AR/VR, wearables, crowdsourcing, and/or their support for social networking services
• Critiquing and creating production tools and workflows
• Mobile Edge Computing (MEC), Software-Defined Network (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV)
• security and privacy in mobile systems and social networks

Paper Submission

Authors are encouraged to submit papers describing original and unpublished research, not currently under review in other venues, addressing state-of-the-art research and development in all aspects of mobile computing, social networks, or the intersection of both. In particular, innovative, early-stage ideas and preliminary results are welcome. The length of the paper must be no more than 6 pages in the IEEE double-column format, including references. The first page must contain an abstract, the name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s). Each submission will receive at least three independent, single-blind peer reviews from the program committee. At least one of the authors of every accepted paper must register and present the paper at the workshop. The program committee will select one paper for the Best Paper Award.
