Introduction
Social inclusion is an area with a strong focus nowadays as it aims to prevent the exclusion of benefits to certain members of society, such as blind and visually impaired people, people with motor disabilities, children, etc. The proliferation in the use of mobile phones contribute to the fact that mobile applications can now be used to help people in different situations of their daily lives. Several areas can benefit from mobile applications to promote social inclusion such as the areas of transports, health, education or even leisure, just to name a few. This special issue will gather research papers, state of the art reviews, technical notes, case studies, innovative projects on topics leveraging all aspects of mobile solutions that aim to contribute to social inclusion.
Objective
This issue on Mobile Solutions Applied to Social Inclusion will gather research papers, state of the art reviews, technical notes, case studies, innovative projects on topics leveraging all aspects of mobile solutions that aim to contribute to social inclusion. The coverage of this special issue ranges from mobile apps to help disabled people at home, using public transportation or travelling on foot to important places, guiding themselves inside buildings, etc. All papers accepted will have to clearly explain the purpose of the mobile solution presented and preferably, the case study it has been developed to and achieved results.

Submission Procedure
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit papers for this special theme issue on Mobile Solutions Applied to Social Inclusion on or before April 30, 2017. All submissions must be original and may not be under review by another publication. INTERESTED AUTHORS SHOULD CONSULT THE JOURNAL’S GUIDELINES FOR MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSIONS at http://www.igi-global.com/journals/guidelines-for-submission.aspx. All submitted papers will be reviewed on a double-blind, peer review basis. Papers must follow APA style for reference citations.
