With the rapid advancements of mobile Internet, cloud computing and big data, device-centric traditional Internet of Things (IoT) is now moving into a new era which is termed as Internet of Things Services (IOTS). In this era, sensors and other types of sensing devices, wired and wireless networks, platforms and tools, data processing/visualization/analysis and integration engines, and other components of traditional IoT are interconnected through innovative services to realize the value of connected things, people, and virtual Internet spaces. The way of building new IoT applications is changing. We indeed need creative thinking, long-term visions, and innovative methodologies to respond to such a change. The 3rd International Congress on Internet of Things (ICIOT 2018) is organized to continue promote research and application innovations around the world.
ICIOT is co-located with 2018 International Conference on Web Services (ICWS 2018),2018 14th World Congress on Services (SERVICES 2018), the 11th International Conference on Cloud Computing (CLOUD 2018), the 15th International Conference on Services Computing (SCC 2018), the 7th International Congress on Big Data (BigData Congress 2018), the Second International Conference on Congnitive Computing (ICCC 2018), the Second International Congress on Edge Computing (EDGE 2018), and the 7th International Conference on AI & Mobile Services (AIMS 2018). All nine co-located theme topic conferences will all center around "services," while each focusing on exploring different themes (industry-specific services and enabling technologies, web-based services, cloud-based services, Big Data-based services, artificial intelligence, cognitive computing, fog/edge computing, services innovation lifecycle, and mobile services).
The 3rd International Congress on Internet of Things (ICIOT 2018) covers state-of-the-art technologies and best practices of Internet of Things, as well as emerging standards and research topics which would define the future of Internet of Things.
Submitted Research Track and Application Track manuscripts will be limited to 8 (SCF Proceedings style) pages and REQUIRED to be formatted using the SCF Proceedings template (WORD, Latex). Submitted Short Paper track manuscripts will be limited to 4 (SCF Proceedings style) pages. Unformatted papers and papers beyond the page limit may not be reviewed. Electronic submission of manuscripts (in PDF or Word format) is required. Detailed instructions for electronic paper preparation and submission, panel proposals, tutorial proposals, workshop proposals, and review process can be found at http://iciot.org/2018/.
At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register to the conference and present the paper. One Best Paper award and one Best Student Paper award will be granted at ICIOT 2018. The first author of the best student paper must be a full-time student.Manuscripts submitted to the Research Track focusing on application or solution descriptions may be recommended to the Application Track or other tracks for further consideration if the session slots are available.
