Call for Chapter in Book 'Novel Approaches to Information SYstems' by IGI Global:
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before July 19, 2019, a chapter proposal of 500 words outlining the contents of the proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by July 26, 2019 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines.
The book will include the broad topics:
Information system security
Business process modelling
Requirements engineering and specification
IS design and methodologies
Modelling enterprise system
Special information systems
Business intelligence systems
Decision support systems
Social network systems
Agile development
Engineering big-data systems
Databases
Bioinformatics
Mining
Ontologies
Multi-agent systems
The total length of the final chapter could be between 7000 and 10,000 words. There are several possibilities here:
1. A technically solid survey paper in the area that points to emerging trends and practice. This may or may not contain one’s own research.
2. One could expand earlier published work by adding any new results, applications, comparisons etc.
3. Sometimes, published papers do a state of the art survey rather laconically with the limited purpose to set the background for the work being reported. One could consider doing a rather more detailed survey of the state of the art in the chapter of the book.
