5^th International Conference on Blockchain Technology (ICBCT 2023) is organized by Guilin University of Electronic Technology, China and co-organized by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into the conference proceedings and indexed by EI Compendex & Scopus. Blockchain technology has infiltrated all areas of our lives, from manufacturing to healthcare and beyond, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Agriculture, Government, Manufacturing, Travel and Transportation, Supply-Chain, etc. Blockchain Technology is defined as a decentralized system of distributed registers that are used to record data transactions on multiple computers. The reason this technology has gained popularity is that you can put any digital asset or transaction in the blocking chain, the industry does not matter. Blockchain technology can be used to prevent any data breach, identity theft, cyber-attacks or criminal acts in transactions. This ensures that data remains private and secure. In addition to the traditional topic areas of ICBCT 2023 listed below, papers are also solicited for a new track on “IoT and Smart Systems”.
