33rd IEEE Real-Time and Embedded Technology and Applications Symposium (RTAS 2027) brings together researchers, engineers, academics, and practitioners working on real-time, embedded, cyber-physical, distributed, and other systems with timing requirements.

The conference focuses on systems where predictability, dependability, efficiency, latency bounds, timing guarantees, and performance requirements are fundamental design objectives.

RTAS 2027 welcomes research contributions describing applications, case studies, methodologies, tools, algorithms, operating systems, middleware, and hardware/software innovations that contribute to the design, implementation, validation, verification, and evolution of systems with timing requirements.

Paper Submission

Researchers, academics, engineers, and industry professionals are invited to submit original research papers related to real-time, embedded, cyber-physical, distributed, and other systems with timing requirements.

Submitted papers may present new research findings, applications, case studies, methodologies, tools, algorithms, operating systems, middleware, hardware innovations, experimental studies, or techniques for designing, implementing, validating, and verifying predictable systems.

Papers must explicitly consider timing requirements or innovations that support fundamental properties of systems with timing requirements. Papers should be prepared using the standard IEEE conference paper format with 10pt font, default margins, and default line spacing.

The main body of the submission is strictly limited to 11 pages of technical content. Additional pages are permitted only for acknowledgments and references. Accepted camera-ready papers may use up to 12 pages of technical content.

RTAS 2027 follows a double-anonymous peer review process. Papers must describe original work that has not been previously published or concurrently submitted elsewhere.

Conference Program

RTAS 2027 consists of two technical tracks: Track 1, Systems and Applications, and Track 2, Applied Methodologies and Foundations.

Track 1 focuses on empirical research involving system- or component-level analysis, optimization, verification, applications, runtime software, hardware architectures, networking, distributed infrastructures, and real-time AI/ML systems.

Track 2 focuses on fundamental models and analysis techniques applicable to systems with timing requirements, including modeling, resource management, optimization, verification, validation, and methodological foundations.

The conference will provide opportunities for researchers and practitioners to present their latest work, exchange ideas, and discuss emerging challenges in real-time and embedded computing.
