Introduction
The main objective of this book publication is to cover the fundamental concepts of Smart city, its privacy and Security along with recent research development in the field of computer technology related with smart city infrastructure and cybersecurity community.
Security in smart cities applications can provide solutions for problems such as overcrowded cities, lack of resources, insufficient transportation choices etc. It also includes various real time/ offline applications, and case studies in the field of engineering, computer science, information security, interdisciplinary tools & cases of IoT, Big data & Smart City with modern tools & technologies.
This book also focuses new application areas to implement smart city projects along with IoT & Technologies, Smart City & future luxuries, the interdisciplinary tools & cases of IoT, IoT and Smart City applications, security and privacy in the smart city.

Objective
The main objective of this book publication is to explore the concepts of Security and Privacy application for Smart City development along with the recent research development. It also includes various real time/ offline applications and case studies in the field of engineering, computer science, IoT, Smart Cities with modern tools & technologies.
As a populations grow and resources become scacer, the efficient usage of these limited goods becomes more important. Smart cities are a key factor in the consumption of materials and resources. Built on and integrating with big data, the cities of the future are becoming a realization today.
The integration of big data and interconnected technology along with the increasing population will lead to the necessary creation of smart cities. To continue providing people with safe, comfortable, and affordable places to live, cities must incorporate techniques and technologies to bring them into the future. We are looking forward to seeing the advances that will come to our cities in the near future.

Submission Procedure
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before December 30, 2019 a full chapter of approximately 10,000 words. All interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at http://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/ prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors will also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Security and Privacy Applications for Smart City Development. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-blind peer review editorial process.
All full chapters must be submitted through the E-Editorial DiscoveryTM online submission manager.
