Call For Papers
5th International Conference on Information Processing in Sensor Networks (IPSN '16) is a leading, single-track, annual forum on research in networked sensing and control, broadly defined. IPSN brings together researchers from academia, industry, and government to present and discuss recent advances in both theoretical and experimental research. Its scope includes signal and image processing, information and coding theory, databases and information management, distributed algorithms, networks and protocols, wireless communications, collaborative objects and the Internet of Things, machine learning, mobile and social sensing, and embedded systems design. Of special interest are contributions at the confluence of a multiple of these areas.
Topics
- Sensor tasking, control, decision making and actuation
- Theoretical foundation and fundamental bounds
- Network and system architectures and protocols
- Location, time, and other network services
- Programming models and languages and embedded software
- Modelling, simulation, measurement, and analysis tools
- Operating systems and runtime environments
- User interfaces for sensing applications and systems
- Innovative platforms and architectures, including cloud, mobile, participatory and social sensing
- Compelling applications ranging from wellbeing and health monitoring to environmental and urban (e.g. traffic / building) sensing, highlighting experiences, challenges, and comparisons of platforms and tools
