IEEE VIS Workshop on Visualization Education, Literacy, and Activities (EduVis 2026)
is an international workshop held in conjunction with IEEE VIS 2026. The workshop
provides a forum for researchers, educators, practitioners, designers, and students
to discuss innovative approaches for teaching, learning, and communicating
visualization concepts across academia, industry, and society.
EduVis aims to promote research and practice in visualization education by bringing
together experts from visualization, computer science, data science, education,
psychology, design, and related disciplines. The workshop encourages the exchange
of ideas on visualization literacy, educational technologies, curriculum
development, accessibility, and effective learning strategies.
The workshop welcomes original research papers, educator reports, case studies,
experience reports, and innovative educational resources that contribute to the
advancement of visualization education and literacy.
Topics of Interest include, but are not limited to:
Paper Submission
Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished research papers,
educator reports, experience papers, and case studies describing innovative
approaches, educational practices, tools, methodologies, and research in
visualization education and literacy. All submissions should present original
work that has not been previously published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere.
All accepted submissions will undergo peer review based on originality,
technical quality, educational impact, significance, and relevance to the
workshop themes.
Publication
Accepted papers and educator reports will be included in the IEEE VIS Workshop proceedings. Selected accepted papers may be published through the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, subject to IEEE publication policies and presentation requirements.
